This past Spring I posted a series of photo art works derived from a Shelby car show, noting that automotive art, while being something that I truly enjoy and relate to, has not seemed terribly popular. But I wanted to do it anyway. More recently, I was approached by a good friend on something of a commission, and BTW commissions for artists are like mana from heaven. And guess what the request is for. Yep. Automotive art.
Funny how that goes.
So for the next couple weeks I’ll be posting some of the works produced for that commission. They will run the gamut between full on abstract and near faithful realism (note the ‘near’ qualification) and hopefully demonstrate the range of expression possible from what I believe is the most underestimated art form of all: The Automobile.
All my life I have had to learn to do things differently. To see the world differently.
